Last Wednesday, Year Two from Grove House and King’s Park Infant Schools had a visit from the Planetarium as part of their topic ‘Is there anybody out there?’ The children were very excited to go in the big black dome and were fantastic listeners as they discovered the wonders of space. The children learnt about the solar system and looked at giant images projected onto the inside of the dome. They showed excellent recall skills as they shared facts they had learnt already about space and linked their learning from Year One about dinosaurs being wiped out by a meteorite. Finally we all enjoyed looking at the constellation patterns projected above our heads. Mrs Burrell
