The first weekend of September saw Northgate High School host the annual Northgate Cup. In it’s third year of this format, the weekend provided local teams with the opportunity to play teams that they would never normally play. The organiser, Scott Emmerson explains: ‘This pre-season tournament really helps the U7’s, U9’s and U11’s to make their transition into their new playing format, whilst giving the U8’s, U10’s and U12’s a chance to have some pre-season friendlies. The weekend was a huge success this year and we’re already looking at increasing the number of teams for next year’.The event was sponsored by McDonalds Dereham and The Finance Shop in Dereham and kindly hosted by Northgate High School.
